The lab

Mello is a prototype built by a Cornell Tech Product Studio team. It is a label, like the nutrition label on food: it describes what is in a video, measured the same way every time, so you can compare. It does not say whether a video is good or bad for your child, and we are working with researchers in children's media and attention to get the measurements right before claiming more.

The catalog is small and the measurement is a work in progress. If a score looks wrong, it may be. Tell us.
